$1200 Fans?
An external computer fan
an accessory that a p.c. rests on
was squeaking.
squeaeeeeeeeeek
squeaeeeeeeeek
squeaeeeeeeek
squeaeeeeeek
“it was $15 several years ago”
squeaeeeeek
squeaeeeek
“it passes when it gets going”
squeaeeek
squeaeek
squeaek
was the explanation offered
squea
squea
and finally smooth operations
The $15 dollar squeaking fan
reminded me of another time
I heard a squeaking fan
I was in the Navy
I operated and maintained radar equipment
we had similar fans
DAC fans they were called (Data Acquisition Converter)
in every cabinet all over the ship
they were a high failure item
they cost $1200 each
when I consider what a waste the military is
I get…… angry
 sad
 bitter
 tender
 vindictive
 compassionate
 loving
 and resolute
we waste trillions of dollars on war machines
the cost to free humanity of the burdens of security
has been measured at 147 Billion
if only we invested in people
 instead of war machines
if only we invested in people
 trillions for war
in only we invested in people
 crumbs for: veterans
 food
 education
 healthcare
 infrastructure
 housing
social safety net
If only we invested in people
we would know the value of life
 And the return on investment
would be beyond our imagination
