Trita Parsi and Stephen Walt speaking on Trump’s approach to the Middle East

Critical Connections, a local organization aiming to educate the community on issues relating to Muslim-Americans and other targeted groups in the United States, is hosting an event at Mount Holyoke College this coming Thursday, the 10th. 
 
Come hear renowned Middle East experts, Dr. Trita Parsi and Dr. Stephen Walt discuss the broad contours of the Trump administration’s approach to the region and implications for stability. The speakers will examine the administration’s rhetoric and policies and will discuss how these reflect their priorities in the region.
 
Dr. Stephen M. Walt is a professor of International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School. Dr. Walt is the author of four books, including The Origins of Alliances (1987), which received the 1988 Edgar S. Furniss National Security Book Award. He is a regular contributor to Foreign Policy and serves on the board of numerous publications.
Dr. Trita Parsi is the founder of the National Iranian American Council and is an expert on US-
Iranian relations, Iranian foreign politics, and Middle Eastern geopolitics. He is the author of Treacherous Alliance: The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel, and the United States(2007), which received the silver medal of the 2008 Arthur Ross Book Award.
 
The event will be held in Mary Woolley Hall, in the New York Room from 7-9 pm.
