Thursday 2/13/20, 7pm, Greenfield Garden Cinema
Greenfield, MA – The Class of 2020 at Four Rivers Charter Public School has just completed a documentary film investigating one of the most vital steps in addressing climate change and our energy crisis- the movement toward electrification. The documentary, Electrify Everything, follows experts from Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York State as they lead the transition away from the fossil fuels of the past, and towards a new and improved electrical grid powered by the renewable energy sources of the future.
The film will be showing for one night only at the Greenfield Garden Cinema on Thursday, February 13th. Events begin at 7pm with a gallery walk of student work followed by a showing of the film and accompanying mini-features. The show will be open to the public. Tickets are $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for students and seniors, and proceeds benefit the Four Rivers Sustainability Fund.
This documentary has been four months in the making. The students of the Class of 2020 were responsible for all stages of the documentary from initial creative planning to filming to post-production. In December, groups traveled to Boston, Burlington, New York City, and Albany to interview scientists, engineers, politicians and activists for the documentary.
