Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bombings

In Japan and around the world, this entry into the atomic age will be remembered with calls for nuclear disarmament and international support for the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

7:00 pm. Meet at Emily Williston Library, 9 Park St. Easthampton
7:30 pm. Walk to Nashawannuck Pond with candles, followed by speeches, performers, and lantern-floating on the pond.
Co-sponsors include the Nuclear and Carbon-Free Future Coalition, The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice, Traprock Center for Peace & Justice, Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution (FCCPR) peace task force.
