The Peacemaker Awards, presented by the Franklin County Interfaith Council and Traprock Center for Peace and Justice, recognize youth in Franklin County engaged in projects making positive contributions toward justice and peace within their communities and in the wider world.
We invite members of the community, especially those who work with teens, to identify youth to be recognized for the initiatives they have taken to make a positive impact within their communities or beyond. Nominees may be from Grade 8 – 12 or comparable age if not in school.
The 2016 nomination form is available for download here as a Word Doc. Response should be limited to one page and submitted by April 8, 2016. A committee will review all nominations, and decisions will be made by May 1st. We encourage the submission of nominations that reach out to youth who are not usually recognized.
Please circulate our flyer and nomination form so that no deserving youth is overlooked.
